Carpool Karaoke – Sarah Fahmy

The premise of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment on his show, The Late Late Show, is that he “randomly” picks up various musicians, such as Justin Bieber, Adele, Iggy Izalea, Mariah Carey, One Direction and Jason Derulo, in his car and they go for a drive. These rides are filmed by tons of GoPros and involve James Corden semi-interviewing his guests. In reality, the segments turn into hilarious comedy bits where James and his guest artist sing his guest’s biggest hits or their favorite songs, shop at gas stations, switch clothes with each other, and crack jokes.

All of his musical guests are already super famous but continue to gain exposure in an intimate, entertaining and funny way. The videos are super relatable because you’re lying if you say you’ve never sung along to the radio driving in the car with one of your best friends at least once in your life. Thanks to these videos, it is now easy to imagine yourself singing in a car full of One Direction next time you are in the car driving somewhere because these clips make celebrities seem just like us.

The most recent segment posted on James Corden’s Youtube channel is of Chris Martin from Coldplay on his way to perform during the halftime show of the Superbowl. Be warned, you can easily spend hours and hours in the Youtube vortex/blackhole watching these videos – at least that is what happens to me!
