Rooting for Thor: Ragnarok

The teaser trailer was released for Thor: Ragnarok today and it looks awesome!

Teaser Trailer from Thor: Ragnorak

I have always liked Thor, especially since I believe he brings a lot of humor to the Avengers. Tony Stark has his witty humor, but Thor is a goofball and just plain fun. I always felt like his standalone movies underscored this fact because they were all set in a dark and serious sort of tone, especially Thor: Dark World.  It is true. The trailer does remind me a lot of Guardians of the Galaxy, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I still find it different than the other Avengers’s movies because he is not a native of earth and, oftentimes, finds the other Avenger’s culture strange, yet fascinating. It is like you are watching him learn and adapt to a world he has yet to understand, but he still protects it as if earth was his own planet.

Still from behind the scenes of Thor: Ragnorak

Thor is such an interesting character. He has so many layers to him and I wish Marvel would dive in a little deeper about his past. For instance, what I really liked about Captain America: The Winter Soldier is that Steve’s past always comes back to haunt him and he is constantly having to face those demons. It makes me relate more to why Captain America does the things that he does (except for Captain America: Civil War). I believe, if Marvel plays off more from Thor’s personality, this movie could be really good and enjoyable to watch. With his last movies, I felt a little bored so I am really expecting Thor: Ragnarok to bring it. Hopefully, it will fulfill my wish. Here is an article about why Thor: Ragnarok could be Thor’s best standalone movie yet:

This is so interesting and true. His comic moments in the past Avengers films are fresh and add a lot to the films. Seeing his personality more, especially through this trailer, would make for a really great movie and I hope it comes out as good as it looks!

The trailer for Thor: Ragnarok is better than both the Thor movies. Like you said, it does have Guardians of the Galaxy vibes, but I honestly love it. The director, Taika Waititi is so cool and I am so thrilled to see him tackle this film because I loved What We Do In The Shadows and I really want to see his other films. Also, the funny Thor videos about him living in Australia with Darryl and seeing Darryl deal with all Thor’s weird quirks were hilarious and all directed by Waititi. Plus this film is going to be a Thor and Hulk buddy movie, and I absolutely cannot wait.

The article you attached really makes me want to see this! Cate Blanchett looks so fierce and she is an unbelievable actress. She will add so much to this movie and I definitely agree that Thor is a very fun and interesting character that has lots of potential to delve into his background and such. Also who doesn’t love Chris Hemsworth?!!

I’d have to agree, Thor is also one of my favorite as well. I agree Thor does have his own sense of humor from the rest of the avenges. I am glad you decided to write your blog about his new movie because I had no idea he had a new film coming out. I cant wait to see this film!

Shelby! I saw this commercial and was absolutely geeking out! My favorite part was the, “Yessss! We know each other from work!” I am very excited to see this film and am also excited to see how Bruce Banner landed on this planet, after he had been avoiding the Avengers for so long!
